What was the Object Project at Chatham Vineyards, stop #4?

|
What do a flower, a glass vessel, a string or ribbon, a key or lock, and some grapes have in common? They comprise the list of common objects that the Sneak Peek artists had mutually agreed to combine in any way they choose in still life paintings and sculptures. While the two-dimensional artists included all five objects in their works, the three-dimensional artists chose from among these same objects.
This separate show (dubbed the Object Project), showed people the diversity of technical, visual, and interpretive creativity resulting from each artist’s approach to handling similar content. The Object Project was on display at the Chatham Vineyards, open free to the public, concurrent with the Sneak Peek Studio Tour. During the 2009 Sneak Peek event, a similar exhibition will be part of the tour. It's location will be posted later this year. Please check back with us for more information about this special stop along the tour! ![]() |
